BEMIDJI, Minn. - A Bemidji man says his alcohol relapse resulted in a fatal crash that killed one person and severely injured another.

Anthony Calloway apologized in Beltrami County District Court and told the judge he accepts responsibility for driving drunk and causing the fatal collision last Halloween.

The 46-year-old man was sentenced to eight years, four months in prison Monday.

Authorities say Calloway had a blood alcohol content of twice the legal limit when he crashed his minivan into another head-on. A passenger in Calloway's vehicle, Dawn Boyd, died in the crash. A pregnant woman driving the other vehicle was injured.

The Bemidji Pioneer says Heidi Lee later delivered a healthy baby.

Calloway pleaded guilty to felony charges last month.
