EAGAN, Minn. - The State Patrol says a Lakeville woman died in a three-vehicle crash in Dakota County Wednesday afternoon.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 55 and Highway 149 in Eagan just before 2 p.m. on Thursday.
A Mini Cooper was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 55 and was turning north onto Hwy. 149. At the same time a Chevy Malibu was traveling in the right through lane of westbound Hwy. 55 when both cars collided. The Cooper hit a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light on southbound Hwy. 149.
The passenger of the Cooper, 68-year-old Sandra Brodin of Lakeville, was transported to Regions Hospital where she later died according to the State Patrol. Brodin's husband who was the driver of the Cooper sustained a minor injury.
The drivers of the Malibu and the third car that was struck were not injured.
