ISANTI, Minn. - It promises to be a long road to recovery for a Columbia Heights man shot in the face in an apparent case of road rage.
The man tells KARE 11 he lost eight teeth and had to undergo a six-hour surgery to remove a bullet after he was shot Saturday afternoon.
It will reportedly take a full year for him to recover.
The shooting victim and another man were riding motorcycles on Highway 64 in Isanti County when they claim a man in a car attempt to run them off the road.
The parties became involved in what appears to be an escalating case of road rage. Eventually one of the men drove to the parking lot of the Isanti Police Department where the dispute boiled over. It was there that the man in the car allegedly pulled a gun and shot the victim in the face.
Authorities say charges in the case are expected Tuesday morning.
