ST. PAUL, Minn. - The driver accused of hitting and killing a 16-year-old girl outside of Harding High School last July has rejected a plea deal with prosecutors. Carlos Viveros-Colorado will stand trial November 5.
Police say he lost control of his SUV while making a left turn from 3rd Street to Hazelwood Street on July 5. The vehicle struck Clarisse Grime who was sitting on a grassy area with her boyfriend, Eduardo Vasquez-Torres. He was injured in the crash.
Viveros-Colorado faces several charges including criminal vehicular homicide.
