CLAYTON, N.J. - Hundreds of people distraught by the slaying of a 12-year-old New Jersey girl have sought relief from their grief during a healing service Tuesday night at a local church.
More than 600 people packed the Clayton Baptist Church for the one-hour program with some of the crowd spilling over outside.
Family, friends and community members wept as they recalled the life of Autumn Pasquale, who disappeared while riding her bicycle Saturday, a little more than a week before what would have been her 13th birthday.
Two brothers, ages 15 and 17, have been charged with murdering her.
Autumn's uncle, Paul Spadofora, said Tuesday night that Autumn's family feels law enforcement officials acted too slowly in their search for the girl.
