MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - Police are investigating a multiple vehicle crash in Maple Grove that left one person dead Wednesday evening.
The collision, involving three vehicles and four people, occurred at the intersection of County Road 101 and Bass Lake Road around 5:30 p.m.
The three vehicles involved are a Ford Escape, a pickup truck pulling an empty horse trailer and a minivan.
Police say two vehicles collided in the intersection and then hit the third vehicle.
Emergency crews needed to use the Jaws of Life on one of the vehicles.
Maple Grove Police, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, and the Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the crash.
