Serial burglars hit Carver County businesses, steal ATM

CHASKA, Minn. - Investigators are seeking a suspect or suspects in a rash of burglaries targeting Carver County businesses early Monday. 

Dispatchers recieved a call shortly before 4:30 a.m. that an alarm had gone off at the the Luce Line Lodge in Watertown. Deputies responded and discovered that the bar-restaurant had been burglarized and an ATM had been stolen. Two men were seen on surveillance tape.  

Later that morning additional calls came in reporting burglaries from Creative Hair Salon and the Family Dollar Store located in Norwood-Young America. The rear doors of both businesses had been forced open, and at one the suspect or suspects attempted to steal a safe.

Deputies also responded to a report of property damage at Mayer Mobil. According to the complainant, the telephone lines to the business had been severed. No entry was gained and nothing appears to have been taken. Two suspects who appear to be the same ones captured on videotape at the Luce Line Lodge were also caught on tape at the gas station.  

The suspects appear to be male; one is approximately 5 foor 8 inches tall with a medium build; the other appears taller and stockier. The vehicle they were driving appears to be a green Jeep Grand Cherokee.
