MINNEAPOLIS - Seventeen years ago, Nicholas David, the singing sensation of NBC's "The Voice," was running the football for the Eagan Wildcats.

Nick Morzinski, as he went by back then, was a 6'2" 195 pound "stud" according to his coach David Fritze.  He was the team's starting fullback in 9th and 10th grade.

By his junior year though, Nick's interests started leaning towards music and theater.

Coach Fritze tried to arrange a practice schedule that would allow Nick to do both football and theater, but ultimately he pursued his calling.  Leaving the gridiron for the stage.
