Reports: Twins agree to deal with P Correia

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins have have agreed to a free agent contract with former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Kevin Correia, according to a report by John Heyman of CBSSports.com.

Correia agreed to a two-year contract, according to Heyman. Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com says the contract is worth $10 million.

Correia, 32, is a right-handed pitcher who was 12-11 with a 4.21 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 171 innings last season for the Pirates.

Correia joins Vance Worley, Scott Diamond, Brian Duensing, Liam Hendriks, Trevor May, Cole De Vries, Kyle Gibson in the battle to make the rotation in 2013.
