Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Friday's men's basketball game between
Detroit and Temple to be held in Philadelphia has been postponed due to
prevailing weather conditions.
According to the Gazelle Group, which was sponsoring the contest as part of
its Gotham Classic series, Detroit was unable to safely fly to the Northeast
because of snow conditions in the Midwest combined with heavy winds in the
Philadelphia region.
The game is expected to be rescheduled at a yet to be determined date.
Temple was coming into the matchup off an 83-79 upset victory over then-No. 3
Syracuse at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
