Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Jack Isenbarger netted 23 points while connecting
on 7-of-13 shots from behind the arc as the Elon Phoenix took care of the
Chattanooga Mocs, 85-61, in a Southern Conference matchup at Alumni Gym.
Lucas Troutman added 18 points and Ryley Beaumont had 13 points as the Phoenix
(12-7, 5-2 SoCon) win their fourth consecutive contest. Tanner Samson hit 4-
of-6 from 3-point range for 12 points, while Sebastian Koch scored seven
points to go along with six assists and six boards.
Chattanooga (8-12, 3-4) was led by Z. Mason, who registered a double-double
with 14 points and 13 boards. Gee McGhee scored 15 points, and Eric Robertson
chipped in 11 points off the bench.
Elon trailed early but eventually took a 38-28 lead at intermission after
shooting 50 percent from the floor and holding the Mocs to just 35.7 percent.
Troutman and Beaumont combined for 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting to lead the
Phoenix.
Chattanooga went cold in the second half, hitting just 26.5 of its field goal
attempts, which allowed Elon to pull away.
Elon assisted on 20 baskets, while the Mocs finished with just six assists
paired with 13 turnovers.
