Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Trevor Lacey recorded 14 points as the
Alabama Crimson Tide held on to defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 59-56, in SEC
action at Coleman Coliseum.
Lacey was 5-of-6 from the foul line and added six boards in the Crimson Tide
(13-7, 5-2 SEC) victory. Trevor Releford added 12 points and Nick Jacobs
contributed 10 points off the bench as Alabama won for the fifth time in the
last six games.
For the Razorbacks (12-8, 3-4), BJ Young recorded a game-high 14 points and a
game-high four assists. Marshawn Powell contributed 11 points and five boards
as Arkansas lost a second consecutive game.
Alabama made 52.2 percent from the floor including 2-of-5 from long-range in
the first half. The visitors were held to a mere 2-of-9 three-pointers, en
route to a 30-23 disadvantage at the break.
The Razorbacks made 12-of-30 from the floor while holding the Crimson Tide to
a mere 7-of-23 from the floor in the second half. Arkansas had a 33-29 point
advantage in the second, but it was not enough as Alabama held on for the
three point victory.
Alabama made 18-of-25 from the foul line and limited Arkansas to a mere 3-
of-19 from long-range on the night.
