Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Jordon Crawford had a game-high 19 points
and eight assists off the bench, as the Bowling Green Falcons defeated the
Ball State Cardinals, 70-59, in Mid-American Conference action at the Stroh
A'uston Calhoun chipped in with 17 points and Chauncey Orr scored 10 for the
Falcons (8-13, 3-5 MAC).
Jauwan Scaife had 17 points to pace the Cardinals (8-12, 2-6), who lost for
the sixth time in their last seven outings. Jesse Berry rounded out the
double-digit scorers with 13 points to go along with four steals, while Majok
Majok finished with nine points and 10 rebounds.
BGSU scored the game's first seven points and never trailed at any point. The
Falcons led at halftime, 41-28, behind a red-hot 64.3-percent shooting effort
from the floor in the opening frame.
Ball State refused to go quietly, as the Cardinals made it a four-point game
on a 3-pointer by Scaife with just under 12 minutes to play in regulation.
However, the Falcons answered right back with a 10-2 run and were able to keep
the Cardinals at arm's length the rest of the way.
BGSU shot a healthy 57.7 percent for the game and held a sizeable 38-15
advantage in bench points, as eight different Falcons found the scoring
