Auburn, AL (Sports Network) - BJ Young supplied 25 points for the Arkansas
Razorbacks who defeated the Auburn Tigers, 83-75, in a Southeastern Conference
meeting at Auburn Arena.
Young was joined in double-figures by three other Razorbacks (15-9, 6-5 SEC)
including Marshawn Powell who scored 20 points with nine rebounds while
shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Rickey Scott and Mardracus Wade scored 11
points each while Scott was 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Arkansas has won three
of its last four games.
Auburn (9-15, 3-8) was led by Chris Denson who managed 18 points and five
assists. Frankie Sullivan added 11 points and was the only other Tiger in
double figures as Auburn took its eighth loss in the last nine games.
The Tigers led 35-33 at halftime after holding Arkansas to just 37.9 percent
shooting from the field in the first half.
The second half was much different as the Razorbacks shot 55.2 percent from
the floor and knocked down 5-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc to take home
the win.
The Razorbacks forced the Tigers into 16 turnovers which were turned into 21
points for Arkansas.
