Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - De'Mon Brooks recorded a double-double with 15
points and 10 rebounds as the Davidson Wildcats cruised by the Furman
Paladins, 73-36, in Southern Conference action at Belk Arena.
Jake Cohen also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards for the
Wildcats (20-7, 15-1 SoCon). Chris Czerapowicz added nine points and a pair of
blocks as Davidson improved its winning streak 11 games.
For the Paladins (6-20, 3-12), Larry Wideman scored a game-high 18 points.
Furman, which shot just 25 percent from the floor for its season-low point
total, has lost seven straight games.
Davidson made 13-of-33 from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-13
from long-range, while holding Furman to a mere 4-of-22 from the floor,
as it took a commanding 39-12 advantage at the break.
The Wildcats extended their advantage to as many as 41 after intermission.
Davidson dominated the boards, 45-26, and points in the paint, 32-12.
