Fresno, CA (Sports Network) - Anthony Drmic scored 28 points as the Boise
State Broncos defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs, 72-63, in a Mountain West
Conference bout at the Save Mart Center.
Drmic shot 8-of-13 from the field and 12-of-15 from the foul line for Boise
State (18-8, 6-6 MWC), which has won three of four. Jeff Elorriaga drained 6-
of-10 from 3-point range for 20 points, while Derrick Marks dished out seven
assists for the visitors.
For Fresno State (9-17, 3-10), Allen Huddleston netted 21 points, Tyler
Johnson had 15 points, and Kevin Olekaibe and Marvelle Harris scored 10 points
apiece. The Bulldogs fell back on their losing ways following a 69-64 overtime
win versus Nevada last Tuesday, and they have now dropped four of five.
Fresno State shot nearly 48 percent from the field in the first half as it
took a 26-25 lead into intermission. Boise State made less than 32 percent of
its field goal attempts in the opening 20 minutes, but it kept the game close
by shooting 7-of-9 from the foul line.
The Broncos ran off a 25-5 run early in the second half to take control of the
game.
Boise State outscored Fresno State at the foul line, 25-16.
