Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The mighty Chicago Blackhawks just keep racking
up points.
Corey Crawford, playing in his first game since Feb. 12, stopped 28 shots for
his second shutout of the season and the Blackhawks continued the best start
in NHL history with a 1-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.
Andrew Shaw scored the lone goal for Chicago (15-0-3), which has recorded at
least one point in 18 straight games to begin the season.
The Blackhawks improved to 5-0-1 during their seven-game homestand that wraps
up Monday night against Edmonton. Chicago holds a 7-0-1 mark at the United
Center this season.
Steve Mason stopped 26-of-27 shots for the Blue Jackets, who have lost nine
straight against the Blackhawks.
Columbus went 1-5-0 during a six-game road trip, and fell to 2-8-0 as the
road team this season.
