Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Jordon Crawford led the way with 19
points as the Bowling Green Falcons defeated the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 52-44,
in a Mid-American Conference bout at the Stroh Center.
A'uston Calhoun added nine points and eight rebounds for BGSU (12-16, 6-7 MAC)
as it picked up its second win in three games.
Allen Roberts paced Miami (8-18, 3-10) with 16 points.
The RedHawks generated a 10-0 run to jump out to a 25-16 lead with 4:42 before
they took a 31-24 lead into the intermission. Miami scored 12 points off of
turnovers and shot 50 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes to
build its early lead while the Falcons made only 40 percent of their field
goal tries before the break.
BGSU duplicated its shooting performance in the second half as it went 10-
of-25 from the floor. However, the RedHawks were able to net just 20 percent
of their field goal attempts and converted only 1-of-8 at the charity stripe
after halftime. The Falcons closed out the game on a 10-2 run to claim the
BGSU held a sizeable, 45-29 edge in the rebounding battle.
