Goodyear, AZ (Sports Network) - Gerardo Parra went 3-for-4 with three RBI to
lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 6-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds on
Thursday.
Willie Bloomquist went 3-for-3 with an RBI and scored two runs while Paul
Goldschmidt added an RBI for the Diamondbacks. Mark Teahen also knocked in a
run in the triumph.
Charles Brewer picked up the win after allowing one unearned run on three hits
over three innings and Conrad Flynn earned the save after stranding two
runners in the ninth.
Ian Kennedy started for the D'backs and allowed one unearned run on two hits
and struck out one over two innings.
Jason Donald went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI and Ryan Ludwick added
an RBI for the Reds, who went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Jose Arredondo was saddled with the loss after allowing two runs on one hit
and three walked in 1 2/3 innings. Reds starter Mike Leake allowed one run on
two hits and struck out three over two innings in the setback.
