Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Steve Sullivan tied the game in the third
period and then scored the lone shootout goal, as the Phoenix Coyotes edged
the visiting Anaheim Ducks, 5-4, in the first of three meetings in five days.
The Coyotes pulled even on Sullivan's rebound putback with 6:29 left in
regulation, and the veteran forward beat Anaheim goaltender Viktor Fasth again
in the penalty-shot tiebreaker, firing a wrister between his pads.
Mike Smith assured the extra point for Phoenix by kicking out Saku Koivu's
backhand bid with his left pad.
