Clearwater, FL (Sports Network) - Hanley Ramirez finished 4-for-6 with a two-
run home run, three RBI and three runs scored, as the Dominican Republic
pounded out 28 hits in a 15-2 rout of the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.
Robinson Cano and Jose Reyes each added a two-run blast, while Miguel Tejada
went 4-for-6 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Dominican Republic, who
played its first exhibition game in preparation for the World Baseball
Classic.
Starter Samuel Deduno of the Minnesota Twins allowed one run on three hits and
struck out three over two innings for the Dominican Republic.
Laynce Nix smacked a solo home run and plated both runs for the Phillies, who
saw starter Cole Hamels give up eight runs on 12 hits in just 2 2/3 innings.
