Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Calgary Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff is
expected to see his first game action in a month when the team hosts the San
Jose Sharks on Wednesday.
The Flames activated Kiprusoff, who sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain in a Feb. 5
matchup against Detroit, from injured reserve on Wednesday, with head coach
Bob Hartley telling reporters the veteran netminder is on track to start
against the Sharks.
Calgary also reassigned Danny Taylor, who had been serving as the backup
goaltender to Joey MacDonald in Kiprusoff's absence, to Abbotsford of the
American Hockey League.
Prior to the injury, Kiprusoff compiled a 2-3-2 record and a 3.24 goals-
against average in seven starts.
