Baton Rouge, LA (Sports Network) - Marshall Henderson tallied 22 points and
five assists as the Ole Miss Rebels routed LSU, 81-67, in an SEC tilt at the
Maravich Center.
Murphy Holloway had 16 points and right rebounds for Ole Miss (23-8, 12-6 SEC)
while Jarvis Summers filled the stat sheet with 15 points, six assists and
five rebounds. Nick Williams shot 5-of-6 for 11 points as Ole Miss won its
last two regular season games.
Johnny O'Bryant registered 17 points and 12 rebounds for LSU (18-11, 9-9) and
has now corralled at least eight rebounds in nine straight games. Andre
Stringer paced the Tigers with 18 points while Anthony Hickey chipped in 10
points.
Ole Miss finished the first half on a 23-9 run after trailing by one midway
through the period. Holloway had 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead the
Rebels, who shot 54.3 percent from the field in the first half and took a
43-30 advantage into the locker rooms.
The Rebels attacked the basket in the second half and made 12-of-16 from the
free-throw line while maintaining its hot shooting from the floor with 50
percent as a team.
Ole Miss outscored LSU in the paint, 36-20.
