Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Jordan Eberle recorded a goal and two assists to
get the Edmonton Oilers back in the win column with a 4-1 victory over the
lowly Colorado Avalanche.
Justin Schultz added a goal and an assist for the Oilers, whose six-game slide
coming in had them on the cusp of being eliminated from playoff contention.
They still trail the Columbus Blue Jackets for the final playoff spot in the
Western Conference by eight points with five games to play.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall also found the back of the net, and Devan
Dubnyk made 33 saves to pick up the victory.
P.A. Parenteau accounted for Colorado's offense while Semyon Varlamov allowed
four goals on 24 shots in the loss, the club's eighth in 10 games.
