LONDON -- London
Marathon runners began the first major race since the Boston bombings
with a moment of silence.
For every runner who makes it across the
finish line, race organizers will make a donation toward The One Fund
Boston for bombing victims.
Most participants said they weren't worried by the Boston bombings, and a good turnout of fans lined the routes.
Prince Harry presented medals to the winners at the end of the 26-mile-long course.
Hundreds of extra police were deployed to secure the first race in the world marathon majors since two explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 70 on Monday.
