MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins have postponed Monday's game at Target Field against the Miami Marlins due to a potential winter storm headed towards the Twin Cities.
The team says Monday's game will be made up on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. as part of a doubleheader against the Marlins.
Tuesday's game originally scheduled for 12:10 p.m. will be played at 1:10 p.m. with gates opening at noon. This will allow the Target Field staff to prepare the stadium.
Four of Minnesota's last eight schedule games have been wiped out before they began because of weather problems, including three at home. That matched their previous season high for postponements at Target Field, in 2011.
Fans that have tickets to Monday's game can either use it Tuesday night or exchange their unused tickets for any future Twins regular season game in 2013. Any unused tickets may only be exchanged at the Target Field Ticket Office located on Target Plaza on 7th Street.
