New Vikings uniforms modeled by Adrian Peterson and Chad Greenway
MINNEAPOLIS - Complete with a fashion show at the Vikings Draft Party, the team unveiled their new uniforms for the upcoming season and beyond.
The new uniforms were designed by Nike, who also rolled out new looks for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins this season.
The new uniforms, in Nike's words, are a modern representation of Nordic culture combined with the Vikings long standing football tradition. The new design provides a modern twist on classic Vikings uniforms. Features include a matte purple helmet with a black facemask, a refreshed, brighter gold accent, unique new font and numbers featuring curves that reflect the bow of a Vikings ship, and single white and gold stripes on the shoulders and pants reminiscent of early Vikings uniforms.
The folks at Nike invited KARE 11 to their headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon to get an exclusive behind the scenes look at how they operate, and how the uniforms were ultimately designed. The tour included appearances by Adrian Peterson and Chad Greenway, both who were more than happy with the final results.
