Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Rookie Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his first
three career playoff goals, and the Ottawa Senators pounded the Montreal
Canadiens, 6-1, in a spirited Game 3 at Scotiabank Place.
Daniel Alfredsson had a goal and two assists for the seventh-seeded Senators,
who grabbed a 2-1 lead in this Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
Erik Karlsson and Sergei Gonchar each had two helpers in the lopsided win,
while Craig Anderson made 33 saves.
Carey Price surrendered all six Ottawa goals on 30 shots.
The Senators will look to put the Northeast Division winners in an even deeper
hole when they host Game 4 on Tuesday.
The teams combined for 236 penalty minutes, the majority coming in a fight-
filled third period during which the Senators scored four goals.
