Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Royals activated outfielder
Jarrod Dyson from the 15-day disabled list prior to Saturday's game against
the Chicago White Sox.
Dyson sustained a high right ankle injury when attempting to rob the Angels'
Mike Trout of a home run on May 15. He was batting .268 with one homer and
eight runs batted in before the injury.
To make room on the roster for Dyson, Kansas City optioned second baseman
Chris Getz to Triple-A Omaha. He was hitting just .214 with one homer and 12
RBI in 47 games this season.
