Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Sixers have signed forwards Nikola
Vucevic and Lavoy Allen, their choices in the 2011 NBA Draft.
The seven-foot-tall Vucevic was chosen 16th overall in the June draft,
following his junior season at Southern California. He averaged 17.1 points
and 10.3 rebounds last season with the Trojans, becoming the first player in
school history to win the conference's rebounding title in consecutive
seasons.
Allen, 6-foot-9, was picked 50th overall. He grew up just outside Philadelphia
and played four seasons at nearby Temple, earning first team All-Atlantic 10
honors in his final two years.
Additionally, the Sixers added free agents Antonio Anderson, Dwayne Jones,
Mike Tisdale and Xavier Silas to their training camp roster.
