NCAA Game Summary - San Diego at University of Portland

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Ken Rancifer scored 15 points, leading five players in double figures, as the San Diego Toreros posted an 82-63 win over the University of Portland Pilots in West Coast Conference action at the Chiles Center.

Darian Norris and Johnny Dee both tallied 14 points for the Toreros (7-11, 2-4 WCC) while Dennis Kramer and Christopher Anderson both dropped in 11 points as the squad won for the second time in the last three outings.

The Pilots (5-14, 2-4) were paced by Kevin Bailey who scored a game-high 22 points, while Ryan Nicholas registered a double-double consisting of 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as they lost their third in a row.

Portland led by three points early in the first half, but the squad allowed the visitors to make good on 51.9 percent from the floor, including 6-of-8 behind the three-point line, as San Diego put up a 40-35 lead at the break.

In the second half the Toreros continued to shoot the ball well from the field at a 58.3 percent clip, this time making an even more staggering 8-of-11 beyond the arc, en route to the 19-point decision.

Portland finished the night with 17 turnovers and shot only 2-of-12 out on the perimeter.
