Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Jon Harris had 17 points and Julian Mavunga
scored 14, as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks earned a 69-50 win over Central Michigan
in Mid-American Conference action at Millett Hall.
The RedHawks (8-15, 4-7 MAC) buried 10-of-19 three-pointers (.526) to beat
Central Michigan for the 16th time in the last 17 meetings.
The Chippewas (7-17, 2-9) saw their losing streak extended to nine straight,
despite 17 points and eight rebounds from Trey Zeigler. Derek Jackson added 10
points in the loss.
CMU made a mere 3-of-20 field goals (.150) in the first half, including a 1-
of-10 effort from beyond the arc as Miami claimed a 30-15 halftime lead.
The RedHawks put the game away by shooting 62.5 percent from the floor and
burying 5-of-7 threes after halftime.
The Chippewas finished with only four assists to go along with 15 turnovers,
while the RedHawks tallied 15 assists on their 21 buckets.
