MINNEAPOLIS - Hundreds of people showed up at Ridder Arena to show support for military families.
The organization, Defending the Blueline, held a charity hockey game to help raise money that goes to the children of military families who have a parent deployed so that they can play hockey. Many current and former NHL players, along with celebrities and serviceman, played at Ridder Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The Army team defeated the Air Force team 7-5.
Washington Capitals center Matt Hendricks and former Minnesota Wild and current Ottawa Senator forward Mark Parrish talked about the event.
