Pettersen leads, Wie makes big move at U.S. Open

KOHLER, Wis. - Suzann Pettersen of Norway is atop the leaderboard at 5 under and Michelle Wie made a big move to get into contention among the early finishers in the second round of the U.S. Women's Open at Blackwolf Run on Friday.

Wie shot a 6-under 66 and is 4 under for the tournament, tied with fellow American Cristie Kerr, who shot 71, and one stroke behind Pettersen (68).

Lizette Salas, a 22-year-old USC graduate who came into Friday in a three-way tie for the lead, shot 73 and is 2 under for the tournament.

Brittany Lincicome, who was tied with Salas and Kerr for the first-round lead, shot an 8-over 80 and is 5 over.

Several notable players had afternoon tee times.
