St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics have recalled
pitcher Tyson Ross from Triple-A Sacramento.
Ross is slated to start Thursday's game against Tampa Bay in place of Bartolo
Colon, who was issued a 50-game suspension on Wednesday for violating
baseball's drug policy.
This will be the fourth big league stint in 2012 for Ross, who entered
Thursday's action with a record of 2-8 and a 6.35 ERA in 12 starts for the
Athletics. He's been much better at Sacramento, posting a 5-2 mark and a 2.74
ERA in 13 outings.
