Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles recalled right-hander
Tommy Hunter from Double-A Bowie and selected the contract of southpaw Zach
Phillips from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.
Hunter has made 20 starts and three relief appearances over four stints with
the surprising Orioles this season, going 4-8 with a 5.95 earned run average.
Phillips went 2-2 with a 3.17 ERA in 42 games for Norfolk. He appeared in one
game for Baltimore earlier this year, allowing two runs against Texas on May
8.
To make room for Phillips, the Orioles designated righty Jason Berken for
assignment.
