Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Jordan Pacheco extended his hitting streak to
13 games, tallying two hits, including a solo homer, as the Colorado
Rockies blanked the Atlanta Braves, 6-0, in the second test of a four-game
set.
Pacheco, who holds the longest active hitting streak in the National League,
is hitting .367 (18-for-49) with two long balls, eight RBI and nine runs
scored during the torrid stretch.
Carlos Torres (4-1) replaced starter Drew Pomeranz in the fourth inning and
scattered three hits over three shutout frames for Colorado, which defeated
Atlanta for the first time in five tries this season.
Tommy Hanson (12-8) allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and eight
strikeouts for the Braves, who have dropped four of their last six games.
