Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Tim Hudson spun seven scoreless innings
Thursday and the Atlanta Braves scored just one unearned run for the second
consecutive night to take a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies in the
finale of a four-game set at Turner Field.
Hudson (14-5) scattered six hits and walked two with two strikeouts to earn
the victory and improve to 8-1 over his last 12 starts. Peter Moylan and Eric
O'Flaherty combined for a perfect eighth before Craig Kimbrel worked around a
one-out single in the ninth to nail down his 34th save of the season.
Martin Prado and Jayson Heyward finished with two hits apiece, while Juan
Francisco scored the game's only run for the Braves, who have won four of
their last five contests.
Charlie Blackmon registered four of Colorado's seven hits, as the Rockies lost
for the third time in their last four games.
Jhoulys Chacin (2-5) was tagged with the loss after giving up an unearned run
on seven hits and three walks over 3 1/3 innings.
