Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - New York Mets outfielder Andres Torres left
Friday's contest against the Atlanta Braves with an undisclosed injury.
With one out in the second inning, Torres made a sliding grab on Martin
Prado's liner into right-center field.
Torres' knee appeared to get caught in the ground, causing him to roll through
the outfield grass. The training staff then helped Torres out of the game as
he walked gingerly toward the bullpen.
Jordany Valdespin took over in center field in place of Torres, who entered
the game hitting .225 with two home runs and 33 RBI.
