Phillies down Rockies, sweep doubleheader

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Ty Wigginton homered and scored twice as the Philadelphia Phillies downed the Colorado Rockies, 7-4, to sweep a day/night doubleheader at Citizens Bank Park.

John Mayberry Jr. knocked in the game-winning run in the ninth inning to lift the Phillies to a 3-2 win over the Colorado in the early portion.

Ryan Howard added a pair of RBI in the nightcap for Philadelphia, which won its fourth straight.

Tyler Cloyd allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk in a four-inning start for the Phillies, but six pitchers combined to shut down Colorado from there. B.J. Rosenberg (1-2) received the win with a scoreless sixth inning.

Jonathan Papelbon worked around a two-out double in the ninth to secure his 32nd save of the year.

Chris Nelson hit a three-run home run for the Rockies, who have dropped six of seven.

Josh Roenicke (4-2) surrendered four runs -- two earned -- on five hits in 1 1/3 innings to take the loss.
