Baton Rouge, LA (Sports Network) - LSU head coach Les Miles said Wednesday that four players will miss the remainder of the season, including linebacker Tahj Jones.

Miles, during the SEC weekly teleconference, would not specify the reasons, but the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Tuesday reported that the players were all academically ineligible.

In addition to Jones, the only starter in the group, linebacker DJ Welter, offensive lineman Evan Washington and tight end Tyler Edwards will not play again in 2012.

Miles also said reserve defensive lineman Jordan Allen will miss the rest of the season with an undisclosed injury.
