Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Dayan Viciedo hit a two-run home run and
drove in three as the Chicago White Sox took a 9-2 win over the Minnesota
Twins to sweep a three-game set.
Chicago now holds a 1 1/2-game lead over Detroit for first place in the AL
Central. The Tigers are currently playing the Indians.
Adam Dunn hit a solo home run and drove in two while DeWayne Wise and Kevin
Youkilis each drove in a pair for the White Sox, who will host Detroit on
Monday for a makeup of a game that was postponed on Thursday.
Jake Peavy (11-11) gave up just two runs on four hits with a walk and six
strikeouts over six innings to get the win.
Scott Diamond (11-8) gave up six runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings to lose
his second straight start. Joe Mauer hit a solo home run in the loss for the
Twins, who have lost five of six.
