Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - C.J. Spiller found the end zone twice and
Buffalo rebounded from a tough season-opener with a 35-17 defeat of Kansas
City. Buffalo (1-1) was lit up for 48 points and 384 total yards by the
Jets last week in a season-opening loss, but the defense was much better this
Sunday as the unit totaled five sacks and two fumble recoveries before
allowing a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns in the win. Spiller, who had 169
yards and a score last week, finished this game with 123 yards on 15 carries
along with three catches for 47 yards. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 10-for-19 for
178 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Matt Cassel was 23-for-42 for 301
yards with two scores, one interception and one fumble for the Chiefs (0-2),
who have given up 75 points in their first two games this season. Dwayne
Bowe had eight catches for 102 yards and two scores.

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Panthers trio of Cam Newton,
DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart ran through a plethora of gaping holes
and handed the New Orleans Saints their first 0-2 start since 2007. Newton,
Williams and Stewart helped the Panthers total 219 yards rushing in
Carolina's 35-27 win over the Saints. Down by eight with 48 seconds left and
no timeouts, the Saints got the ball at their own 20-yard line, but Jon
Beason intercepted Drew Brees' pass over the middle with 23 seconds remaining
to seal the win. Newton carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards and a
touchdown, Williams ran for 69 yards and a score on 14 rushes and the
returning Stewart, who missed the opener with a right ankle injury, added 51
yards on the ground. Newton also threw for 253 yards with a touchdown on 14-
of-20 efficiency, while Steve Smith caught three balls for 104 yards -- his
40th career 100-plus yard receiving game -- for Carolina (1-1), which fell
to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in its opener. Brees was 31-of-49 for 325 yards
with a touchdown and two interceptions for New Orleans (0-2), which began the
2007 campaign 0-4 before finishing 7-9.

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Andy Dalton threw for 318 yards with three
touchdowns, as the Cincinnati Bengals held off the Cleveland Browns, 34-27, at
Paul Brown Stadium. A.J. Green caught seven passes for 58 yards and a
score, while Brandon Tate and Andrew Hawkins each caught a touchdown pass
for the Bengals (1-1), who rebounded from Monday's 44-13 pounding in
Baltimore with their seventh win in the last eight meetings with the Browns.
Cleveland rookies Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson also bounced back nicely
from poor performances in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but their
efforts were not enough, as the Browns (0-2) never led and fell to 0-2 for the
fourth time in the last five seasons.

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Adam Vinatieri booted a game-winning, 53-
yard field goal with eight seconds left as the Indianapolis Colts edged the
Minnesota Vikings, 23-20, on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. After allowing the
game-tying touchdown with under a minute to play, the Colts got the ball back
at their own 20 with 31 seconds remaining. On the first play of the drive,
Andrew Luck connected with Donnie Avery for 20 yards up to the 40-yard line.
Luck then hit Reggie Wayne for 20 more yards to bring the ball to the
Minnesota 40. An offside call on the defense put the ball at the 35 and
Vinatieri knocked it through the uprights with ease to give Luck his first NFL
win. The Stanford product finished with 224 yards and two scores on 20-
of-31 passing for the Colts (1-1), who did not win for the first time last
season until Week 15. Avery caught nine passes for 111 yards, while Wayne
hauled in six balls for 71 yards and a touchdown. Donald Brown led the rushing
attack with 45 yards on 16 carries. Christian Ponder threw for 245 yards
and two touchdowns on 27-of-35 passing for the Vikings (1-1), who snuck
past the Jacksonville Jaguars in overtime last week.

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Arian Foster rushed for 110 yards and a
touchdown, while Ben Tate added a pair of scores on the ground, as the Houston
Texans stymied the Jacksonville Jaguars offense in a 27-7 triumph on Sunday at
EverBank Field. Foster, who became the all-time leader on the Texans' rushing
yardage list in the process, carried the ball 28 times and added six
catches for 37 yards, while Tate rushed for 74 yards on 12 carries and hauled
in four passes for 23 yards. Matt Schaub connected on 26-of-35 passes for
195 yards, as the Texans (2-0) earned their fourth straight victory over the
Jags and won back-to-back games to open a season for the third straight year.
Blaine Gabbert struggled for the Jags, who managed a franchise-low 117 total
yards of offense. The second-year quarterback went just 7-of-19 for 53 yards
and a touchdown before being removed late in the fourth quarter with a leg
injury. Maurice Jones-Drew was the lone bright spot for Jacksonville (0-2),
rushing for 60 yards on 12 carries and adding three catches for seven yards
for the Jags, who were coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Minnesota
in Week 1.

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Reggie Bush ran for 172 yards with a pair of
touchdowns, leading the Miami Dolphins to a 35-13 victory over the Oakland
Raiders at Sun Life Stadium. Ryan Tannehill notched his first win as an NFL
quarterback, throwing for 200 yards with his first touchdown. The first-
round pick also ran for a score as he and the Dolphins (1-1) bounced back
from a dismal opener last week in Houston and gave Joe Philbin his first win
as an NFL head coach. Miami failed to score an offensive touchdown in the
30-10 loss to the Texans, as Tannehill threw three interceptions in the
setback. On Sunday, the Texas A&M product completed 18-of-30 passes and was
not picked off, directing four second-half scoring drives. Brian Hartline
was his favorite target, catching nine passes for 111 yards. The Miami
rushing attack was also a factor with 263 yards. Oakland (0-2) was coming
off a Monday night loss to San Diego in its opener and has dropped its
first two games for the first time since the 2007 campaign.

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - Running back Ryan Williams and the rest of the
Arizona Cardinals can breathe a sigh of relief. The Cardinals held on for a
20-18 win Sunday at Gillette Stadium after New England kicker Stephen
Gostkowski missed a 42-yard field goal with one second remaining. Looking to
run off more of the clock before punting the ball back to the Patriots,
linebacker Brandon Spikes forced a Williams fumble that was recovered
by Vince Wilfork at the Arizona 30-yard line with 61 seconds remaining
in the fourth quarter. On second down, Danny Woodhead ran for a
touchdown, but the score was nullified by a holding penalty on Rob
Gronkowski. The Patriots eventually moved the ball to the 24, and
Gostkowski, who had been 4-for-4 to that point, including a pair of 50-plus
yard kicks, pushed his attempt wide left.

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Andre Brown's 2-yard rushing
touchdown with 31 seconds left capped a huge fourth quarter, as the New York
Giants rallied past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 41-34. Eli Manning threw two
of his three touchdown passes in the fourth period for the Giants (1-1), who
bounced back from a season-opening loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 5.
He finished 31-of-51 for 510 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Manning's 510 passing yards was a career high and just three shy of the
franchise record of 513 by Phil Simms (at Cincinnati, Oct. 13, 1985). Brown
carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards and a touchdown for the victors. Victor
Cruz caught 11 passes for 179 yards and a score while Hakeem Nicks hauled
in 10 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown. The news was not all good for the
Giants. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), right tackle David Diehl (knee)
and wide receiver Domenik Hixon (concussion) left the game with injuries.

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Michael Vick scored on a 1-yard run with
just 1:55 remaining to lift the Philadelphia Eagles to a 24-23 win over the
Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Trailing 23-17, Vick led the Eagles down the
field with a 10-play, 80-yard march to take the lead, capped by the touchdown
scamper. Vick took the snap and ran to his left before diving across the goal
line. On the previous play Vick dropped back to pass and was hit as he was
releasing the ball. The play was originally ruled a fumble, but an
official review overturned the call. Joe Flacco's pass on 4th-and-1 with 54
seconds to play sailed out of bounds and the Eagles (2-0) held on for a second
straight narrow win. Vick finished the game 23-for-32 through the air
for 371 yards and a touchdown, but threw two interceptions. Vick also
rushed for 33 yards and a score. LeSean McCoy ran for 81 yards and a
touchdown, but lost a fumble, one of the Eagles' four turnovers.
