Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Kevin Kolb came back to haunt his former team,
throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns, as the Arizona Cardinals took down
the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-6.
The Cardinals, who scored 24 points in the first half on Sunday, are 3-0 for
the first time since 1974, when the franchise was still based in St. Louis.
Kolb, who completed 17-of-24 passes, was traded from the Eagles to Arizona in
August of 2011, but his tenure with the Cardinals has mostly been marred by
injuries and inconsistent play.
The sixth-year pro was edged out for the starting job by the lesser-
credentialed John Skelton during this year's preseason, though an ankle sprain
the latter suffered in the team's Week 1 matchup with Seattle pressed Kolb
back into duty. The Eagles and Cardinals squared off in Philadelphia last
season, but Kolb missed the game with a sprained toe.
Ryan Williams carried the ball 13 times for 83 yards for Arizona, which has
won 10 of its last 12 games dating back to the midway point of last season.
Larry Fitzgerald hauled in nine passes for 114 yards and a score.
Michael Vick completed 17-of-37 passes for 217 yards for the Eagles (2-1), who
became the first team in NFL history to begin a season with two one-point
wins.
LeSean McCoy carried the ball 13 times for 70 yards for Philadelphia, which
had won six in a row dating back to last season. Damaris Johnson caught five
passes for 84 yards.
