Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade poured in 21 points in 23 minutes
and Chris Bosh added 17 points as the Miami Heat cruised to a 105-78 preseason
victory over the Detroit Pistons in the reigning NBA champions' first
appearance at American Airlines Arena since capturing last season's title.
Wade made good on 9-of-13 field goal attempts, while LeBron James totaled 13
points and a game-high eight assists, as the Heat looked sharp in their return
from a trip to China, where Miami split a pair of exhibition outings with the
Los Angeles Clippers from Oct. 11-14.
Greg Monroe led the Pistons with 15 points and Brandon Knight tallied 12 for
Detroit, which shot just 35.2 percent from the field and fell to 2-3 on the
preseason.
Wade racked up 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting as the Heat roared out to a 27-11
lead after one quarter, while a 12-3 run to close out the second sent Miami to
a commanding 61-34 advantage at the half.
The Pistons never got closer than 23 points down in the second half.
