LaCrosse, WI (Sports Network) - Rudy Gay and Mike Conley each scored 20 points
and had six assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 97-94 preseason win
over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
Gay also had four steals, four rebounds and a block while Marreese Speights
chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Wayne Ellington and Jerome Jordan each
netted 10 for the Grizzlies, who aim to reach the post season for the third
consecutive season.
Monta Ellis scored 20 points and Brandon Jennings added 19 points, four
assists and two steals for the Bucks, who are 2-2 in the preseason.
After heading into the break up 50-49, Memphis opened up a 76-67 lead heading
into the fourth quarter. Milwaukee outscored the Grizzlies, 26-21, in the
final stanza but it wasn't enough and Memphis held on for the win.
