Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Tommy Rees will reportedly start at quarterback
for Notre Dame on Saturday against BYU after Everett Golson suffered a
concussion last week.
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly had indicated earlier this week that his
starter would be a game-time decision, and the Chicago Tribune on Saturday has
reported that it will be Rees.
Rees came in last week when Golson took a hard shot in the fourth quarter
against Stanford and led the Irish to the tying field goal before guiding the
team to the winning touchdown in a 20-13 victory.
Golson returned to practice on Wednesday, but Rees reportedly took the
majority of snaps with the first-team offense during the week.
