Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans left tackle Michael Roos has
been ruled out for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts
after having his appendix removed earlier this week.
Roos had started all 119 games since the Titans drafted him in the second
round -- 41st overall -- of the 2005 draft, but the 30-year-old veteran
was unable to practice all week as he recovered from surgery.
Quarterback Jake Locker will miss his fourth consecutive game as he continues
to recover from an injured left shoulder, while linebacker Patrick Bailey
(hand/ribs) and running back Javon Ringer (knee) have been ruled out for
Sunday as well.
Ringer, who injured his knee on Oct. 7 against Minnesota, was placed on
injured reserve on Friday, ending his fourth NFL season with just two carries
for 14 yards.
The Titans added safety Tracy Wilson from the practice squad to fill the
vacated roster spot.
In other injury news, linebackers Will Witherspoon (hamstring) and Colin
McCarthy (ankle) returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday and are
listed as questionable.
Running back Chris Johnson (ankle), wide receiver Kenny Britt (knee) and
safety Jordan Babineaux (wrist) were full participants in practice all week
and are listed as probable.
