ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnetonka senior goalie Sydney Rossman had quite the weekend in helping Minnetonka bring home its third consecutive Minnesota state Class AA girl's hockey championship.
In the Feb. 21 state quarterfinal against Irondale, Rossman stopped all 14 shots she faced. In the record-setting six overtime state semifinal Feb. 22 against Lakeville North, Rossman had an impressive 49 saves, playing the four hours and 14 minutes in goal. The very next night, Feb. 23, Rossman produced 17 saves, helping the Skippers upend Hill-Murray 3-1 to clinch the title. In the state tournament, Rossman allowed just four goals on 84 shots faced.
