MINNEAPOLIS - Hopkins senior forward Nia Coffey wanted to finish her high school career as a state champion and she did just that.
Coffey led the Royals to a third consecutive state championship beating Bloomington Kennedy 68-45 Saturday night. Coffey topped all scorers with 25 points and grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds despite dealing with leg cramps late in the game. The Northwestern recruit was named to the Class AAAA All-Tournament Team.
